You can help make New Zealand’s National Choirs accessible to everyone!

The Choirs Aotearoa New Zealand Foundation Trust is a registered charity (CC54014) created to build a capital endowment fund for New Zealand’s national choirs. Funds you give are securely preserved in a managed investment portfolio, with amounts distributed to the choirs coming from investment returns, conserving your gift for the future.
  • Your gift to the Foundation will assist us to ensure equity of opportunity for members of the New Zealand Secondary Students Choir and the New Zealand Youth Choir. We aim to build a capital fund large enough to support any singer who successfully auditions for either choir and needs financial assistance to participate.

We have received the following messages from recent recipients:

“Receiving the scholarship grant meant a great deal to me as it came in a time of need. Around the time I had received the grant, my family was going through a time of hardship due to Covid. Had I not received the grant, I wouldn’t have been able to afford to sing with the NZYC. I really appreciate the support from the Trust with my choir fees as NZYC has been a huge part of my life the past 8 years and has gotten me through many a tough moment.“

“When auditioning for the NZYC ensemble, the financial contributions required (especially the big tour fees at the end of each cycle) are always at the forefront of my mind, but any amount of money available to apply for really helps to alleviate that final number.”

You can give any amount to the Foundation by:
A donation to be preserved in the capital fund.
A gift to honour the memory of someone close or significant to you.
A bequest in your will.

If you wish to discuss your options with us, please email foundation@choirsnz.co.nz and we’ll contact you.
