Meet the new NZ Secondary Students’ Choir at their first Auckland appearance!
There will be an open rehearsal, then an informal concert where the choir will show off what they have been working on.

A 30-minute free event immediately before our Hamilton concert, designed for audience and performers to explore the music together. Our Music Director David Squire and 4 choir members will tease out parts of the music and talk more about the composers and pieces.
Anyone in the audience can also offer their thoughts and share anything they know. A great time to be together, and talk more about music!

For our first concert of 2023 we’re coming back to Featherston!
In the last few years this award-winning ensemble have toured the South Pacific, gone viral on Facebook, sung for the Prime Minister and toured over the ditch in Australia. Now they’re rearing to get back on the road and celebrate the new year with new repertoire, new singers, but the same quality which kiwis have come to expect for their NZ Youth Choir.
It is always an honour to put the black uniform. These 50 singers have been selected from all over the country to represent New Zealand. The trophy cabinet at headquarters is full to the brim and includes the “world cup” of choir singing, the “Choir of the World” trophy in Wales.
This is your chance to see the choir on your home turf for one night only. Pack your whānau, bring your mates, this will be one glorious night out.

Join us at the beautiful St Mary of the Angels for an open rehearsal of new repertoire with our new singers, preparing for our performance at the national ANZAC Day memorial at Pukeahu National War Memorial Park.
